3 Simple Productivity Hacks That Actually Work for Me (And Might for You Too)
Not all productivity advice is the same. These 3 stupidly simple tips really help me and they might just help you too.
There's A TON of productivity tips on the internet.
99% of it is great, but more complicated than I need — I end up managing my tasks more than doing them.
But these 3 simple habits produce incredible results whenever I do them.
Habit 1: Write Out The Big Rocks
Not all tasks are equal.
Some tasks are more important and influential than others. For me, writing is more important than updating my website design. Focusing on those "big rocks" means I have a far more impactful day.
Action: each day write the 3 most-important tasks you will work on.
Habit 2: Take Good Breaks
Rests are a key part of productivity.
They give us the energy and focus to attack each task. But while some breaks recharge us, others leave us more drained. Taking a good break every hour will result in you doing more work, not less.
Action: identify what break recharges you.
Habit 3: Conduct A Weekly Review
Productivity is not about doing more, it's about doing the right things.
A weekly review is a key tool to focus on what really matters. It helps you sort through the high-value and low-value tasks. Plus, it gives a sense of closure over what you did, what you didn't do, and what you will do next.
Action: create a calendar event with yourself for a weekly review.
